Popular TV programme producers Endemol India, known for shows such as 'Fear Factor', 'Khatron Ke Khiladi' and 'Bigg Boss', are foraying into film production by remaking the much acclaimed Malayalam film Traffic, which is also being remade in Tamil by Kamal Haasan.

One of the highest-grossing Malayalam projects so far in the calendar year, Traffic was directed by Rajesh Pillai with Sreenivasan, Rahman, Kunchacko Boban, Vineeth Sreenivasan, Asif Ali, Anoop Menon, Sandhya, Roma, Ramya Nambeesan and Reena Basheer in major roles. The Hindi remake will be directed by the original director himself.

Endemol India MD Deepak Dhar confirms, "Yes, we have acquired the remake rights for Traffic and we are very excited to begin work on this. Other details pertaining to the project will be announced at an appropriate time."
