From Chennai to California and Japan to Dubai, Rajni fans across the world are conducting mass prayers for their matinée idol's good health. Meanwhile, Rajinikanth, who was admitted in hospital for the third time in two months, has been shifted to a private ward at Sri Ramachandra Medical Centre in Chennai on Sunday evening.

"He is cheerful and is spending time with his family members, watching the IPL match keenly. His vital parameters are stable," the hospital press release said. Visitors are strictly not allowed as per the advice of doctors, it added.

In Chennai, mass prayers were conducted at Sri Raghavendra Swamy Temple (constructed by Lawrence recently). Celebrities, including Amitabh Bachchan, Dharmendra, Bobby Deol, Priyanka Chopra, Arshad Warsi, Ritesh Deshmukh, Hansika Motwani and Genelia, wished the actor for his speedy recovery.
