Rajinikanth's Rana is facing one or the other problem from the day it was announced officially. The shooting of the film has been halted due to Rajini falling continuously for the second time in the same week. So keeping this in mind the filmmakers are in plans to go for a title change.

Buzz in the tinsel town that director KS Ravikumar is make his arrangements to talk to a numerological expert regarding the title change. The film was haunted with unexpected delays right from the beginning. Initially it got delayed due to incomplete script works, followed by casting problems of female leads. After going through initial hiccups, the filmmakers announced that the launch of the film is on April 20. But it got suddenly postponed due to the specially erected set for the song sequence was not completed for the muhurat. Finally came the muhurat day and Rajini was hospitalized due to breathing related issues.

Director K.S Ravi Kumar by considering all these facts came to a decision to consult a numerologist for seeking his help for the title change. He is expecting that the title change might atleast help the cause and changes the fortunes of the film. It is also heard that Rajini also given his nod to the director’s wish for the change of the title as he is a stronger believer in astrology and numerology.
