Tens of thousands of music lovers had to face disappointment as civic authorities and police authorities stopped A R Rahman's show in Nagpur recently, citing rules and regulations.

According to reports, the concert had to be ended as it was already 10 pm and according to the law, the show could not have gone ahead. The authorities were not ready to pay heed to requests from the organisers.

Following this, Rahman came to stage and explained the audience the reason why they have to stop the concert. He requested the fans to come to Bengaluru, where the next concert is scheduled.

The multiple Academy and Grammy awardee chose Nagpur for his first show in India because it is the central-most point in the country. He is busy conducting concerts all over the world, it may be noted.
