Trouble continues to brew in Tamil Film Producers Council. This time, the new president of the influential body, S A Chandrasekar, has earned the wrath of a section of members for his becoming the chief of TFPC all of a sudden.

"When a president resigns, election should be conducted to elect the new one. But SAC has made a backdoor entry only to promote the political interests of his son Vijay," said a producer.

A meeting has been convened by rebel members at a popular hotel in Chennai on Friday to discuss the future course of action. "Let him face the election and become the president. We have no problems in it," another producer said.

Reacting to this, S A Chandrasekar has said that he is ready to prove the majority in the Council. "It is a normal procedure that one of the vice-presidents would be elected as the chief if the existing president resigns," he said.
