Vettai which is progressing on a brisk pace in Pondicherry has been rescheduled to June as the summer heat turned dreadful to shoot on the outdoor locations in Pondicherry. The shoot is going start in Pondicherry only after seeing monsoons as the entire unit has faced severe sunstroke during the last schedule.

The film went on floors just two months ago in Karaikudi and later the second schedule progressed din Pondicherry. In the second schedule few important scenes involving Arya, Madhavan and Amala Paul was shot. Currently the director is canning the portions with lead roles and small artistes at some indoor locations in Chennai. Madhavan has took a break from the shoot as he has to wrap up his other assignments.

Tirupathi Brothers owned by Lingusamy and his brother Subash Chandra Bose are producing the film.
