TheCinemanews has earlier reported that the team of Viswaroopam has faced the problem of Visa denial by the American Embassy as they decided to shoot the film in US. Later director Selvaraghavan decided to shoot in Canada but it is known that the visas for the team are again rejected by the embassy.

The reason behind the Canada visa denial is the plot of the film which is based on cannibalism. Sources confess that the film is inspired from 'The silence of lambs' and its sequel, Hannibal.

Buzz in the tinsel town is that, Selvaraghavan has planned to the shoot the film in London and the team is going to station in London for a period of 35 days where the director I going to shoot duet sequences between Kamal and Sonakshi Sinha and also the romantic scenes.

As the film is a trilingual, in Tamil, Hindi and Telugu, Kamal had choosed Shankar-Eshaan-Loy for composing the sound tracks as they are well known and leading music directors.
