After taking a long pause in her film career actress Shobhana is going to be back on big screens. She is starting her second innings with Simbu's Podaa Podi.

Shobhana is playing an important role of a dancer master of Varalakshmi in the film. It is after a long time she accepted the role as it has enough scope for to showcase her dancing abilities. Currently the team is shooting in Pondicherry and with this schedule the talkie portion of the film will get wrapped up. In this schedule director Vignesh Shiva is canning few important scenes which are linked up to the 45 days London shoot in the story.

Podaa Podi is left with only one song which will be shot after the Pondy schedule. STR and Varalakshmi are soon going to fly to Spain for shaking the leg for this song.

The film's sound track and background score is done by Dharan. Cinematography and editing are handled by Nirav Shah and Anthony Gonsalves respectively.

Podaa Podi is schedule for its release in August.
