Vikram always chooses his scripts which brings him accolades and rave reviews. He has done few commercial movies like Dhool and Saamy which were top-drawers at the box office and are still cherished by his fans.

But the actor took a break from commercial films and has done off beat films and action-based movies alternatively. But now Vikram is showing keen interest in doing commercial films, so he has given his nod for Rajapattai. The film is a commercial entertainer which has action, sentiment, love, comedy in right proportions.

The entire crew of Rajapattai was present interacting with media channels during the launch of the film. On talking to the media Vikram said "I am happy to be a part of this film as I will be stepping back to commercial cinema after a long gap. I would always love to do commercial entertainers but didn't get a right combination. Rajapattai is a mass masala entertainer and we are sure that it will rock across all the centres".

Chiyaan Vikram is playing the role of a gym instructor while Deeksha Seth is his heroine.

Rajapattai is directed by Suseendran and is produced by Prathish and Santhosh (sons of producer Ramesh of Kanagarathna Movies).
