The film is produced by Gautham Menon under his production banner Photon Kathaas. It is known that the filmmaker's rescheduled the film as there are no screens available in Tamilnadu just because the release of many releases during the coming days. The screens are already filled with Avan Ivan while Dhanush starrer Venghai and Vikram's Deiva Thirumagal are all set to release in the next month.

Veppam stars Evam Karthik Kumar and Bindu Madhavi in important role and is based on the Chennai Municipal and slightly looks like Bollywood film Slumdog Millionaire.

Joshua Sridhar has given the music. Cinematography and editing is done by Om Prakash and Vijay Anthony respectively.
