Jaya Chitra to play role of Chief Minister J. Jayalalitha


We gave you a glimpse of this AMR Ramesh's bilingual film in Tamil and Kannada. In Kannada the film is titled 'Attahasa' which means maniacal laughter in Kannada and in Tamil it is titled 'Vanayudham.' Kishore who donned a negative shade in Vetri Maaran's National Award winning film 'Aadukalam' will be shouldering the titular role in this film.
The makeover of Kishore as forest brigand Veerappan in this biopic film will trace 40 years of the late sandalwood smuggler's life and will also unearth many unknown aspects of his life which were never made public so far.
Arjun will play the role of IPS officer Vijayakumar, and there are now confirmed reports that actress Jaya Chitra will be donning the role of the present Chief Minister J. Jayalalitha, in whose period the elephant poacher was killed in a well-planned encounter. The film will also depict the episodes of Dr. Raj Kumar's kidnap. There are also reports that Bollywood actor Suresh Oberoi might essay the role of the Kannada actor.
There is also a buzz that National Award winning actress Priyamani or Bollywood actress Rani Mukherjee might be roped in to play the role of Veerappan's wife, Muthulakshmi. Many who were involved with the Veerappan's capture in real life are helping the director by supplying apt evidences in making the film. The filming is going at a brisk pace, and the team will shoot from MM Hills, Erode and Selam too.
