United States Secretary of State Hillary Clinton has surprised the invitees at the meeting by greeting them in Tamil by saying Vanakkam and the audiences responded with great round of applause.

Kamal Haasan has attended the meeting along with Gauthami, at Anna Centenary Library at Kotturpuram. Hillary Clinton has addressed the students, opinion makers and other top citizens. The meeting lasted for nearly 45 minutes and she spoke about how US observes India as a strategic player in Asia. Hilary also said that Tamilnadu is one of the most industrialized, globalized and educated State in the country. Apart from Kamal Haasan ace singer Chinmayi too had a opportunity to attend this high profile meeting.

Tamilnadu Chief Minister J. Jayalalithaa had a brief discussion with Hillary Clinton.
