After Amala Paul it is now Lakshmi Menon, a 15 years old girl student from 8th standard school to star as a heroine in Prabhu Solomon's next project Kumki.
It is well known that Prabhu Solomon has given a much required break for Amala Paul's career and now it's Lakshmi Menon to make a big time in her career with Kumki. Lakshmi Menon is from Kochi and doesn't have any background in movies. She is lucky to share the screen space with Vikram Prabhu, son of actor Prabhu and grandson of legendary Sivaji Ganesan.
The story revolves around Kumki elephants, with Vikram portraying a mahout. Vikram has shed ten kilos of weight to look apt for the role. The film will take place in forest locations of Kerala, Karnataka, Thailand, AP and Andaman. Kumki's tagline is, It is ‘a wild love story. Vikram is undergoing a training session with a domestic elephant in Ottapalam in Kerala.
Kumki is a joint production by UTV Motion Pictures and Thirupathi Brothers. The film is scheduled for its release in early 2012.
