as they posed various questions to Sun Pictures' Chief Operation
Officer Hansraj Saxena, who was in their custody, on the cheating
charges he is facing, the Chennai City Police on Wednesday also
questioned a couple of his close aides.
They are Thambidurai, one of the top officials of Sun
Pictures and Ayyappan, a producer who is said to be close to Saxena.
After reportedly questioning them for a few hours, the Police let them
off with a condition that they should appear whenever they are asked to
do so.
While questioning Saxena, the police videographed the
entire process to avoid any controversies, it is said. The Sun Pictures
Chief will be produced before the Saidapet magistrate court in Chennai
later this evening.
Saxena was arrested at the Chennai airport on Sunday
based on a complaint by a Salem-based distributor, who had alleged that
this top official of Sun Pictures had cheated him over Rs 80 lakh over
the distribution of 'Theeratha Vilayattu Pillai'.
