It was Gautham Vasudev Menon who changed the image of Simbu with Vinnaithandi Varuvaya. After the release of the film Simbu's image changed overnight and he turned out to be the heartthrob of many young girls.

A few days if recalled there were some reports stating that Simbu is joining hands with Gautham Menon for the sequel of Vinnaithandi Varuvaya. But Simbu has given a different answer saying that it is the sequel of VTV. It was the actor who confirmed that he is doing the sequel of VTV a few days back.

Simbu says "I am not sure whether it is the sequel to VTV or a new script. But I am happy to join Gautham once again. Gautham has his own style of making a film and he knows the pulse of the youth very well".

Simbu is currently busy working for three projects simultaneously. His projects include Vettai Mannan, Podaa Podi and Osthi. "Currently I am doing three projects and I am happy to be apart of interesting projects" Simbu says and signs off.
