The CEO of Sun Pictures, Hansraj Saxena, was taken into custody by the police on Sunday (July 3) night at the Chennai airport, on a complaint filed by Salem based distributor TS Selvaraj of Kandan Films.
Selvaraj has filed a complaint on July 1st with the Chennai Police commissioner stating that Sun Pictures had signed a distribution deal for Salem area for the film Theeratha Vilayatu Pillai starring Vishal with him for Rs 1.25 crore but Hansraj Saxena failed to keep up the promise as he distributed the film directly instead of selling the film to him.
When the distributor asked Saxena to pay back his amount Hansraj Saxena refused to pay back instead he started threatening him with horrible consequences as is one of the most powerful Kollywood personalities during the DMK regime.
Hansraj Saxena was remanded until July 17th, 2011.
