The Metropolitan Magistrate Court in Saidapet on Tuesday remanded Hansraj Saxena, Chief Operating Officer of Sun Pictures, to two days' police custody in connection with a cheating case.

Additional Public Prosecutor D Gopinath sought five days police custody for Saxena, saying that documents pertaining to the case have to be recovered by the investigating officer.
After arguments, the Magistrate granted two days police custody to Saxena ending at 4.15 pm on July 7. The Sun Pictures chief was taken into police custody in the evening and will be produced in court on July 7.
Saxena was arrested by the Chennai City Police on Sunday on charges of cheating and intimidating film distributor T S Selvaraj. Saxena is the chief operating officer of Sun Pictures - the movie production and distribution wing of Sun TV.
Selvaraj had complained that Saxena had cheated him of around Rs 80 lakh and threatened him when he asked for the money in connection with the distribution of 'Theeratha Vilayattu Pillai'.
