UTV inked three-film deal with Linguswamy

Apart from Vettai, UTV Motion Pictures has snapped all the rights of two other Tamil films.
UTV Motion Pictures, India’s leading film production house has announced a three film agreement with the renowned director N. Lingusamy and his production house Thirupathi Brothers Film Media.
UTV will co-produce, market and distribute the three films namely Vettai, Vazhakku Enn 18/9 and Kumki, in association with the Lingusamy's banner, Thirupathi Brothers Film Media.
Vazhakku Enn 18/9:
The film stars all debutants Mithun, Sri, Urmila and Manisha in the lead roles while it is written and directed by Balaji Sakthi Vel who gave blockbuster hits like Kadhal and Kalloori. Music is by debutant Prasanna while cinematography is handled by Vijay Milton, who used a Canon EOS, 7D digital cameras for the recording. The film is slated for a September release.
Kumki
Director Prabhu Solomon's next is titled as Kumki which features Vikram Prabhu, son of actor Prabhu and grand son of Sivaji Ganesan in the lead role.
UTV Motion Pictures has six releases lined up in Tamil cinema, beginning with Deiva Thirumagal (releasing on 15 July), followed by Cheran and Prasanna starrer Muran; three films with Thirupathi Brothers; and finally Mysskin's Mugamoodi starring Jeeva in April/May 2012.
