After winning two prestigious National Awards (Best Actor and Best Director), Vettrimaran's Aadukalam with Dhanush and Tapasee in the lead roles will be screened at the Montreal World Film Festival in 'focus on world cinema' category.

The film festival is taking place between August 18 and 28, 2011. The movie also has a festival version (with no songs) that will be released directly in DVD soon. Aadukalam (meaning arena or playing field), a contemporary mainstream film set in Madurai, is about two generations and their ideologies.
