With thala Ajith's 'Mankatha' gearing up for an audio launch shortly followed by the film's release, expectations are more than ever on his next, 'Billa 2', with Chakri Toleti, especially since the first film in the series, 'Billa', was a blockbuster hit.
KollyInsider.com had earlier reported the team is currently busy caning shots in Hyderabad. Grapevine has it that, following this, key scenes of the film will be shot at Goa and it is said that major portions of the film will be shot at Goa. Few other locales are Pondicherry and Chennai.
While 'Billa' was shot in Malaysia, 'Billa 2' by Chakri seems to be Russia bound. Few portions of the film are to be shot here as well.
'Billa 2' is a prequel to 'Billa' that was a 2007 release, the film will showcase how an ordinary commoner, David, goes on to become one of the most-feared dons in the world, Billa. The film will showcase a much younger Ajith, in his mid twenties, and he is to be paired with Huma Qureshi whilst Bruna Abdullah has a pivotal role to play in the film.
