Anna Hazare is fast becoming quite a sensation with his staunch stand against corruption, and he sure has influenced the majority of the nation to opt for a way out of corruption, by demanding the passing of the Lokpal Bill. Following Anna Hazare's earlier protests and bowing to his demands, the Government presented its own version of the Lokpal Bill, which Anna Hazare deemed unsatisfactory, and demanded to be revised, but the government wasn't in favour of these changes.

This led to Anna Hazare announcing another fast till his demands for a proper Lokpal Bill are met. However, the government and the politicians were totally against it, and when Anna Hazare went forward with his plans for a fast, he was arrested.
