Kollywood industry is going on a one-day fast in support of Anna Hazare today at the Film Chamber. The fast has started at 9am in the morning and will end at 6 pm evening at the Film Chamber in Chennai

Directors, producers, actors and technicians would join, adding Associations like Tamil Film Producers Council, Film Employees Federation of South India (FEFSI), and South Indian Artists Association will be taking part in the fast. However there will be no interruption for shooting or cinema shows. This fast is being organized on the request of the Producers’ Council.

A spokesperson of Tamil Film Producers Council said “We from Kollywood industry decided to stand in support of Anna Hazare who is on an indefinite fast at the Ramlila Maidan in Delhi. We are fighting for the Jan Lok Pal, which will put an end to corruption.”

Celebrities who are likely to fast are The Council’s Chairman SA Chandrasekar, Nadigar Sangam’s General Secretary Radha Ravi, director Cheran, Theatre Owners’ Association President Abhirami Ramanathan, Distributors’ Council Chairman Kalaipuli G Sekaran and several others.
