Buzz in the tinsel town is that hot-looking Mumbai girl Pooja Hegde has been roped in to play the female lead opposite Jeeva in Mugamoodi which is to be directed by Mysskin. Pooja was second runner-up at the Miss Universe India 2010 beauty pageant.
Earlier there was a speculation that Amala Paul has chances of being the heroine in this film but the heroine trashed the rumours. Nandha is playing a full-fledged negative role for the first time in his career. Anjali of Angadi Theru fame is expected to star opposite the baddie of the film, Nandha.
Mugamoodi shoot is going to start in the first week of September. The film is all about a super hero who attempts to eradicate corruption in the society. Though it carries a message for the society the film is said to be an action – adventure family entertainer. The filmmakers have signed a debutant music director K to score the tunes for the film.
According to some snoopy sources it is revealed that Pooja Hegde has been reportedly signed up for Mugamoodi for a whopping sum of Rs.18 lakhs! Isn’t it quite a sum for a newcomer?
Mugamoodi is first superhero project in Tamil which is going to be produced by UTV Motion Pictures.

While Jiiva is playing the lead, Mysskin's favorite mascot, Narain who has acted in his Anjathe and 'Chithiram Pesudhade' will be the antagonist in this film. The male leads in this film have worked hard in terms of stunts and received special training from experts to make their moves look natural.

But the actress has revealed that she will not be a part of 'Mugamoodi'. Now sources in the know have revealed that Mysskin has zeroed in on a never seen before face in movie circles, Pooja Hegde. She is a model who will be making her foray in to films starring opposite Jiiva, through 'Mugamoodi'.
Also, the first teaser trailer of this upcoming Mysskin flick will be aired during the recess of 'Muran' when this film hits theatres.
'Muran' which sees director Cheran and Prasanna in very different roles will hit theatres during September, confirm sources close to this team. Distributed by UTV Motion Pictures the film is touted to be an action thriller.
