For all you fans who are eagerly waiting for Velayudham updates here is some fresh update.

Currently the team of Velayudham is canning the last song of the film in Chennai and will be completed in a couple of days. So with finishing this song the shoot of the film ends and simultaneously Vijay and other star cast are working on the dubbing process. Vijay fans across the globe are now keen to know the release date of Velayudham as the release date of the film is already confirmed in Kerala on August 31st, 2011.

Velayudham is widely reported to be the remake of Telugu film Azad that starred late Soundarya as a journalist and Akkineni Nagarjuna as a villager, incidentally the roles essayed by Genelia D'Souza and Vijay, respectively. Velayudham is a masala film filled with all right ingredients in right ratio for a block buster hit.

The audio of the film is slated for its release on August 28^th, 2011 at Madurai.
