Mayakkam Enna team has met the press just after the two days of the audio launch. The audio launch took place in a simple manner at Radio Mirchi, Chennai.

On speaking to the press GV Prakash said "I have been receiving positive feedback of the music and especially the theme music is specially praised. On those who heard the music said the songs have potential to be a very big chartbuster".

Director Selvaraghavan said The film carries a simple and realistic story. It doesn't have anything to do with my life. It is also disclosed that Dhanush is playing the role of a photographer in the film. He also said that the release date of the film is not yet confirmed. Mayakkam Enna first copy is expected to be ready in the next 10 days, later to this Selva will announce the release date of the film.
