The producers of south industry have met on Monday evening at the Film Chamber in Chennai to discuss about this annoying issue. The workers union is demanding an increase in daily beta of 80 to 100 % but the producers are not willing to go for such a gigantic increase and they are in plans of making it to 25 to 30 % increase in daily beta. Producers are citing that it is due to inflation they are unable to increase and they are asking FEFSI to sign a deal valid for the next three years.
Before coming to a final decision the producers have made it clear that the films under production will continue till Diwali (October26). The members of FEFSI have also said that they will not disturb any film shooting and will cooperate.
FEFSI Secretary G Siva has informed that they will be meeting shortly again to discuss about the salary issue.
