Genelia's relationship with Bollywood star Riteish Deshmukh has always been under scanner and there were reports in the past about the two either getting engaged or married secretly. This news has once again resurfaced with reports that their engagement ceremony took place in Mumbai recently.

Sources say that the engagement took place at Riteish's residence in Mumbai and was attended by close family and friends only. Riteish is the son of the Chief Minister of Maharashatra, Vilasrao Deshmukh, it may be mentioned here. Sources say that wedding will take place early next year.

Neither Genelia nor Riteish have confirmed the news about their engagement till now. Genelia has acted in a number of Tamil, Telugu and Malayalam films and her forthcoming release Velayutham is expected to hit the screens soon.
