Kajal Agarwal is set to replace Shruthi Haasan in a much awaited film. No, not in Kollywood, but in Tollywood. If sources are to be believed, Shruthi has walked out of ‘Dammu’, a movie starring top actor NTR Junior in the lead role, due to so much delay in its start.

Shruthi- Kajal, Kajal-Shruthi and Shruthi-Kajal…these two actresses are replacing each other.

In the movie ‘The Businessman’ starring Mahesh Babu and directed by Puri Jagannadh, the first choice for the leading lady was Shruti Haasan. But at the last minute, she was replaced by Kajal Agarwal.

Later Kajal was chosen as the heroine for the film ‘Gabbar Singh’. Kajal was all excited to pair opposite Pawan Kalyan, but Shruthi replaced her in the last minute.

Now Shruthi Haasan walked out of NTR movie ‘Dammu’ citing date problems because of the delay in movie shooting. Now Kajal name is under consideration for the role. 

Following this, the makers of the film have decided to sign Kajal Agarwal as the heroine. Since Kajal has already shared the screen space with the actor in ‘Brindavanam’, she is comfortable working with NTR and is eager to share the screen space with him again, sources say.

“Kajal is currently shooting for Suriya starrer Maatran in Russia and is expected to return India before Deepavali. She will sign the NTR starrer immediately after her arrival to the homeland,” sources say, adding: “Shruthi really wanted to be part of the project. But she had no other option than walking out.”
Explaining the reason, they add: “Because, Shruthi was told that the shooting of Dammu would start in March this year and would end by November. She planned her other commitments according to that. However, the project got delayed for months and is set to hit the floors only now.”
