Bharathiraja's dream project Annakodiyum Kodiveeranum was earlier announced with Parthiban in the lead role. The actor was supposed to do dual roles in the film and he was in fact excited about it and said it would be his career best role.

However, things have changed quite quickly and now actor-director Ameer has replaced Parthiban a day before shoot. Parthiban informed that he is opting out of Annakodiyum Kodiveeranum. He informed that there are reasons for opting out of project and all he says may not be the reason. The producers are yet to announce the news of Ameer stepping into the film.
