Leading South Indian heroine Genelia has been banned by the Movie Artistes Association (MAA) in Tollywood for not taking the membership in the association, despite several reminders!


MAA recently sent notices to all Tollywood actors, who have not taken the membership in the association so far including Genelia, but the actress failed to take the membership. Consequently, the MAA officials issued notice to all the producers in Telugu on November 8, urging them not to rope in Genelia in their films.

The MAA officials said that though Genelia worked in the Telugu industry for eight years, she didn’t bother to take membership. As per MAA rules, actors have to pay one lakh for lifetime membership and should have at least three releases in Telugu.
