Actor Jayaprakash finds himself in the dark following filing of case against him by the Nungambakkam Police in a case of ‘financial fraud’.
Jayaprakash has been one of the most impressive actors in the past few years with successful films like Pasanga, Mankatha, Yudhdham Sei and Naan Mahaan Alla to his credit.
Jayaprakash also owns a production house named GJ Films as one of its shareholders.  He also runs a petrol pump on the Sardar Patel Road in the heart of Chennai at Indira Nagar, Adyar.  An individual named Anthony Raj has filed a complaint with the police saying that Jayaprakash had cheated him to the tune of Rs.20 lakhs.

In his complaint, Raj has said that he paid Rs.20 lakhs to Jayaprakash for taking the petrol pump ‘on lease’ on a request from the latter.  Though the money was paid in advance, Jayaprakash neither let out the petrol pump on lease nor returned the amount paid, Raj has stated further.  “When I demanded my money back, he gave a cheque for Rs.5 lakhs only and assured that he would pay the remaining amount later.  The cheuqe has since bounced at the bank.

“When I demanded my money back, he refused to pay the money back and is threatening me with dire consequences.  He also abused me using filthy language.  Under the circumstances, I seek protection for my life besides requesting you to take action to get my money back,” Raj’s complaint said.

The Nungambakkam police have registered caser under two sections are investigating further into the matter.
