Speaking abut the film Linguswamy says that unlike his previous outings Vettai will have a strong story and taut script that will wipe off the allegations on him that he don't give vital significance to story.

Madhavan and Arya shared screen together as brothers in the film while Sameera Reddy and Amala Paul paired up alongside the two heroes as the leading ladies. Director informs that the actresses are not just confined to glamour quotient but also proved their mettle.
