The latest film to get into a fix over its title is Osthi.
Tamizh Kappu Kazhagam (TKK), a pro-Tamil organisation has objected to the title of the film.

They claim there is no word in Tamil called Osthi, and it is not a pure Tamil name.

During the earlier Karunanidhi regime, there was a strict rule that films with only Tamil titles could be eligible for total entertainment tax exemption.

But under the new regime, entertainment tax has been increased to 30%, so producers are not particular about using pure Tamil titles for their films.

STR's Osthi has already been censored with a U certificate, and the film is slated for release on December 8.
