Vetrimaran who has earned huge hit along with the critical acclaims for Aadukalam has now announced his next film titled Vada Chennai. The film will be produced by Dhayanidhi Alagiri of Cloud Nine Movies.


Silambarasan aka STR will play the lead role while Rana Daggubati will share screen with him in a prominent role. GV Prakash is zeroed in to score the music for this film. Vada Chennai story is set in the backdrop of North Chennai justifying the film’s title.

Dhayanidhi Alagiri informed: “The Vetrimaran directed Vada Chennai, pre-production work is going on. Silambarasan will play the protagonist while Rana Dagubatti plays a special prominent role and Andrea has a pivotal role.”

Velraj will crank the camera for the movie and Kishore handles the editing department. The regular shoot of Vada Chennai will commence from March 2012.
