The Ilayathalapathy of Tamil cinema Vijay says that he don't want to take up off-beat films. There has always been an allegation that Vijay don't try to experiment and only plays safe with commercial entertainers.
Responding to this Vijay informs that Commercial format suits him well and he doesn't want to come out of this as his fans likes him in mass and commercial entertainers.

Vijay also informs that though he personally likes watching off-beat films his fans doesn't like to see him in such films and he has already experienced the issues. Vijay is all happy with the outcome of his Diwali release Velayudham.

Vijay's next release [Pongal 2012] is Nanban being directed by Shankar which is the remake of Aamir Khan's 3Idiots. The Ilayathalapathy informs that Nanban has a Shankar's unique stamp right from beginning to end and I feel happy to be part of this film.
