Rajapattai's score and soundtrack are composed by Yuvan Shankar Raja, becoming his first work for a Vikram-starrer. The soundtrack album would consist of four songs. Since Yuvan Shankar Raja's previous single tracks from Vaanam and Mankatha had met with success, the team planned to release a single track from Rajapattai, too, by late October. Vikram was touted to have sung the song. The final mixing of the songs was planned to be held in London. The album is planned to be launched on 9 December 2011.
