Most details about Tollywood star Jagapathi Babu's role in Vikram's new film Thaandavam have been revealed.

According to sources, Jagapathi is playing a police officer, who is in search of Vikram, in this film, being directed by Vijay of Deiva Thiirumagal fame. Another highlight is that he will dub in Tamil for his role, as he is well versed in the language.

"Jagapathi could not say no when Vijay approached him with the offer. He was so impressed with the character and the script, that the actor, despite his busy schedule in Tollywood, immediately agreed to do the role," a source said.

Produced by UTV Motion Pictures, Thaandavam has Anushka and Amy Jackson as heroines. Loosely based on Hollywood flick The Bourne Identity, Thaandavam was launched on November 30 and the shooting is currently on.
