K. Balachander directs Kamal again in a play!

KB to direct Kamal Haasan for stage-play
It’s not often that ‘Ulaganayagan’ Kamal Haasan stars in a stage-play.
The very fact that he’d be starring one such play in a couple of days from now is in itself a great news; the added attraction that the play would be directed by his mentor, guru and Dada Saheb Phalke award-winner K. Balachander makes Kamal’s outing a memorable one indeed.

Reports say that the play would be staged on the concluding day of the 2-day ‘Media & Entertainment Business Conclave’ conducted by FICCI at the Hotel Royal le Meridian in Chennai on 1-2 December. The Conclave would be chaired by Kamal haasan himself in his capacity as the head of the media & business wing of FICCI. The actor informed this during a formal chat with presspersons.

“We needed a forum to putforth the difficulties and demands faced by the media and business sector. The 2-day conclave would serve as the perfect platform for the entertainment industry to air its grievances. I have a lot of faith in FICCI, founded by Mahatma Gandhi, and its far-reaching steps to support the entertainment industry.

“We toiled hard to shift the venue of this Conclave form its usual city of Mumbai to Chennai. We feel our voices should be heard and honoured by the State and Central governments. As many as 800 Indian and delegations from FICCI and from the Tamil film industry would be taking part in this conclave. It’s a wonderful forum to debate in length about how to proceed further in our respective fields.

“I shall star in a stage play along with ‘Crazy’ Mohan and Ramesh Arvind. The play would be directed by none other than K. Balachander. It’s a hilarious take-off on the advent of digital cinema,” concluded Kamal Haasan.
