Vettai – one of the most expected albums of the season has finally arrived in style. The audio launch was grandiloquently held last evening with the young guns of Kollywood gracing over the occasion. Produced by Thirrupathi Brothers, the film is marketed and released by UTV Motion Pictures across the globe while Sa Re Ga Ma has the music label for this album.

1. Dham Dham

Vocals: Karthik, Krish

A youthful introduction to the heroes (Arya and Madhavan) and Yuvan has roped the best singers, who are apt to the song. Karthik and Krish, the combination itself becomes the major attraction. The beats are so simple and the interludes played on Nathaswaram and chorus part is appreciable. Lingusamy Is known for picturing the song, especially the title tracks should have got the best visuals with cinematographer Nirav Shah. Na. Muthukumar has penned the lyrics in the similar style of ‘Theradi Vidhiyil’ (Run).

2. Dhama Dhama

Vocals: Haricharan, Swetha Menon
Lyrics: Na. Muthukumar

The beats closely reminiscence ‘Thaavani Potta Deepavali’ and ‘Adada Mazha da’. It looks like this style happens to be Yuvan’s favorite one and thus keeps repeating it often. Haricharan and Swetha Menon have done justice to the song. It sounds like a wedding song and again the visuals should add more intensity to the track.

3. Kattipidi

Breezy romantic song with mild instrumentals… it may take some more time for the song to capture the best positions and it should have been with repeated airings on radio stations. The lyrics aren’t so captivating and it’s the singers, who emblazon the song with their best abilities.

4. Pa Pa Pa

One best song from the album and it’s already creating big magic. In the recent times, Yuvan Shankar Raja has started extracting the style of his father maestro Ilayaraja. It is so blatant with the rhythmic pattern and it was Ilayaraja, who used to utilize maximum folk instruments, especially for the rural backdrops. The new found talent Renuka sways with her outstanding voice and she is here to rock to the core with more offers. The making of song visuals has already captured everyone’s senses.

5. Thaiyya Thakka Thaiyya

Voices: Harini, Saindhavi
Lyrics: Na. Muthukumar

Beautiful belles have the song and it’s done with the perfect traits of a rural backdrop. The song is about a girl’s search of a perfect match for her elder sister. Yuvan has worked a lot on instrumentals, which is so blatant for the first time we hear it. Maybe, the guys who hear this song can prepare themselves to grab the hearts of their sweethearts.

While ‘Pa Pa Pa’ and ‘Thaiyya Thakka Thaiyya’ become your favorite tracks for the first time you hear it, rest of them might take few more time. Since most of them are set in rural backdrops, the visuals have a major role to contribute for the success of songs.
