After Nanban's success, Srikanth is busy shooting for Paagan. Directed by debutant Aslam, the film has Janani Iyer playing opposite Srikanth.
According to the latest buzz, it was ace filmmaker Ameer who suggested Srikanth's name for the lead role.

Aslam, a former assistant to Ameer, had narrated the entire script to his mentor. That was when the Paruthi Veeran director proposed Srikanth's name saying that he would be the apt choice for the lead role.

After completing the first schedule, Aslam is happy about the outcome and thanked his mentor for the right advice at the right time.

While Srikanth has shed a few kilos, Janani has added on extra pounds on the insistence of the director. The movie is being shot in and around Tirupur.
