Arya has been riding high after the fantastic opening of Vettai. He has been working with director Selvaraghavan forIrandam Ulagam opposite Anushka and the first schedule is complete in Ramoji Film city, Hyderabad.

Apparently rumours are rife that the actor has been signed up to play a parallel role in his mentor Vishnuvardhan's new film with Ajith.

The film is produced by AM Ratnam under his Sri Surya Movies and is supposed to go on floors by end of February.

The dialogue writers of the film are said to be Suba, who did the recent hit Ko.

Speculation is rife in the media about the other character signed up for the movie with some media reports claiming Vishnuvardhan's brother Krishna is the front runner.

But now Arya has emerged as the favourite, which will truly make it a multi-starrer. But sources close to Arya deny it and say that Vishnu had given him a narrative and he was very excited about doing a film with Thala.

However, the actor has given continuous bulk date to Selvaraghavan forIrandam Ulagam and will not be in a position to dole out dates for the Ajith project.

News are doing rounds that director Vishnuvardhan has managed to rope in Ajith and Arya for his next film.

Rumour mills are working overtime saying Arya will be seen in this multi-starrer with Ajith, it was earlier buzzed that the director's brother Krishna will be seen in this role!

Ajith had worked with Vishnuvardhan in Billa before and Arya had teamed up with Vishnu for his first film 'Arindhum Ariyamalum'.

Only last week it was said Amala Paul will be seen opposite Ajith but director Vishnuvardhan neither denied nor confirmed it. Dialogues are touted to be penned by Suba.

Interestingly multi-starrers seems to be the order of the day. The likes of Mankatha, Vaanam and the recent Nanban are few examples.

This yet-to-be-titled venture will be produced by AM Ratnam under the Sri Surya Movies banner and will go on floors by the end of February once Ajith wraps 'Billa 2' with Chakri Toleti.
