Monalisa, the former Miss Gujarat beauty pageant winner will be foraying into Tamil. The movie is titled Sollathan Ninaithen.

Shravan Kumar plays the lead actor and the film also marks the entry of Tollywood ace filmmaker and Nandhi awardee Prabhakar into K'town.

The story is set in the backdrop of a college campus and according to the director it is based on a sensational incident that took place at a famous college few years ago.

"It has commercial elements like romance, humour, sentiment and action — all in proper proportions," says Prabhakar.

Lokchandar, a former associate of Mani Ratnam who worked in films like Nayagan and Agni Natchathiram, has penned the screenplay. Prabhakar has also taken the onus of composing the music.

Aarthi Puri, granddaughter of late Bollywood actor Amrish Puri has been roped in for a hot item number in Sollathan Ninaithen. Produced by Peru. Thulasi Pazhanivel, the film went on floors at a city college recently.
