Mounaguru, which has garnered critical acclaim and is on Our Site - Films you should have watched in 2011, is slowly but surely turning into a sleeper hit.

And one man who is smiling is the soft-spoken Arulnithi. The film which opened to lukewarm response from public was appreciated by critics and got positive reviews in all sections of the media. Added to that the publicity was boosted up by the makers and theatres were forced to increase the number of shows.

And last weekend at Chennai multiplexes, Mounaguru was Housefull while a top star film was limping at the ticket counters. And today (Jan 09) Mounaguru is celebrating 25 days run at all release centres, which is good news for its producers Mohana Movies, director Shathakumar and Arulnithi.

2012 looks promising for Arulnithi, the young actor who seems to have found his niche and is intent on leaving his stamp on Kollywood.

Says Arul:  "I will be signing up a new film soon with a noted director. I am looking for character driven roles that will get me recognition rather than the commercial one".
