Debutant director Seenu Ramasamy made many sit up and take notice of his film-making abilities with his film Tenmerku Paruvakkatru in 2010. The film won critical acclaim from the critics and the media besides winning as many as three awards when the national awards were announced last year.

Saranya Ponvannan won the 'best actress' award, Vairamuthu won the 'best lyricist' award and the film was adjudged as the 'best feature film' in Tamil. Despite garnering fame and success with his very first film, Seenu seemed hesitant in making up his mind as to what would be his next film. It is now reported that he would be directing Neerparavai which would be produced by Udhayanidhi's Red Giant Movies.

Neerparavai would again be a rural subject wherein Seenu attempts to document the lives of the people of a coastal village in South Tamil Nadu. The shooting is likely to star from this Friday (20th January) onwards in and around the port city of Tuticorin and the villages surrounding it.

Vishnu of Kullanarikootam fame would be playing the hero in this film. He is paired opposite Bindu Madhavi, praised by many as possessing the same pair of 'seductive' eyes as the late 'Silk' Smitha. Bindu was earlier seen in movies like Veppam and is also awaiting the release of her Kazhugu opposite Krishna.

Others in the cast include Thambi Ramaiah, 'Poo' Ram, 'Black' Pandi, Aruldoss and yesteryear's popular heroine Rohini. Seenu would be penning the story and screenplay besides directing the film. Dialogues would be written by noted author Jayamohan. Balasubramaniam would be the cinematographer while Mu Kasi Viswanathan takes care of the editing assignment.

Raghunandan, who debuted as music director in Tenmerku, returns again to work with Seenu. Obviously, Vairamuthu would be penning all the lyrics in the film.
