If sources are to be believed, director Shankar’s Nanban will have a mega release on 12 January. The movie stars Vijay, Srikanth Jiiva and Illeana in lead roles.


Sources say that it would be released with maximum prints. Directed by Shankar, Nanban is the Tamil remake of 3 Idiots. The original film had Aamir Khan, Sharman Joshi and R Madhavan in the lead roles.

The Tamil version was shot in almost all the same places where Thre Idiots was canned. Harris Jeyaraj’s music was a big draw. The songs released last week has ended up as chartbusters.
