Tamil Nadu Government is to intervene in the ongoing tug-of-war between FEFSI and the Producers' Council.
The Labour Department is holding talks with both the film organizations on February 6th in a meeting convened by Additional Commissioner of the department.

Meanwhile, FEFSI has called for one day token fast on 5th of this month.

The stalemate between these two organizations arose due to the salary issue of the workers. The FEFSI unilaterally fixed and announced the salary of the workers and this irked the producers. FEFSI workers decided not to work in any film shoots and few filmmakers continued their shoot with outside workers. But, almost the entire film industry is now in a standstill without conducting any shoots due to this problem.
