The veteran actress Manorama, who was lastly seen in 2011 released, Prashanth starrer Ponnar Shankar, was hospitalized due to breathing problem.

Achi Manorama was joined in St. Isabel hospital, Chennai due to chronic breathing disability yesterday. Doctors shifted her to ICU, as they came to know she has stones in her kidney as well. It is also reported that a doctor will fly down from Australia to treat Manorama.

Speaking to the media her son Mr. Bhupathi said, "She was admitted due to breathing problem, doctors have diagnosed with stones in the kidney apart from this she is absolutely fine." Doctor at St. Isabel says, Manorama will just be fine within a couple of days treatment.
