Veteran actor Prakash Raj is celebrating his birthday today. He is turning 47 today.
    With theatre experience he debuted in films with K Balachander's Tamil film 'Duet' in 1994 and slowly rose to become a versatile actor.
He also became a good filmmaker by producing movies under his production company Duet Movies and also directed a couple of movies in Tamil and Kannada.
    The actor has done varied roles from hero to villain to characters and has been considered one of the best villain and character artists of contemporary Indian cinema.
    He has acted in all the south Indian languages and in Hindi in all kinds of roles.
The actor was born in Puttur, Karnataka and was raised in Bangalore. He married Lalitha Kumari and had three children with her. After the first marriage failed the actor went for divorce and married choreographer Pony Varma in 2010.
