Rajini delays Ajith’s Billa-2 audio release

It appears that the audio launch of Ajith's upcoming film Billa-2 might get delayed beyond the first fortnight of April.
The crew is yet to take a call on deciding the day to release the film's songs. The film, a sequel to Ajith's 2007 hit film Billa, won't take off from where Billa ended but would go back in time to dig deep into the reasons which turned a commoner David into Billa, one of the most dreaded dons in the country.

The absence of superstar Rajinikanth, who has gone to London to shoot for his upcoming film Kochadaiyaan, is said to be the reason for the delay in finalizing a date to release the audio cassettes and CDs of Billa-2. The film's crew is said to have taken a 'consensus' decision to get the audio launched by the superstar as Billa, whose audio was also released by Rajini, went on to hit the bull's eye at the box-office.

The makers of the film were planning to release the audio towards end-March but have postponed the audio-launch to mid-April. However, they want Rajini to take part, release the audio and bless the film to 'guarantee' the film's box-office success. For this, though, they might have to wait till the second week of April.

Superstar Rajinikanth is at present shooting for the first schedule of Kochadaiyaan in London. As such, the crew has decided to wait till Rajini returns to Chennai from London and would decide about the date of audio-launch depending upon the superstar's convenience!
