Shriya Saran who stopped the release of 'Raja Pokkiri Raja', a Malayalam film dubbed in Tamil, has now made way for the release of...
Shriya entered into an agreement with the producer of the film that the film would not be re-released in any language and if done so she would be paid another package of salary for the re-release. But, the original producer of the film sold the Tamil dubbing rights to one Malaysia Pandian and the latter was releasing the film in Tamil.
The actress went to the South Indian Film Chamber complaining the breach of agreement and filed a case in the court also. The Chamber stopped the film from releasing in Tamil based on the complaint from Shriya.
Now, the actress has made way for the release of the film by withdrawing her complaint from the Chamber and this has made Malaysia Pandian happy and he is now going ahead with the release.
Malaysia Pandian said, "Shriya understood that only the original producer has to pay her the amount and allowed me to release the film now. I will make Shriya my film's heroine if I make a film in Tamil."
The original Malayalam film was titled 'Pokkiri Raja' and featured Mammootty and Prithviraj in the lead along with Shriya Saran.
